Andy (Essex)
Andy manages a large woodland in Essex, protected from deer and actively maintained through coppicing. He also hosts workshops and offers volunteering opportunities to engage with the process.
He provided most of the coppiced hazel used in this project. Visiting the site offered insight into a woodland at different stages of management.
Sourcing material directly from him highlighted the practical realities of supply, selection, and scale, grounding the project in a local material network and real production conditions.
What Grows Again is Antoine Léger’s final master’s project;
Unit 3: Material Impact.
